PROTECTIVE HOOD: The optional Protective Hood is made of double walled honeycombed reinforced FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) material. Unlike canvas or plastic covers sold or included with other awnings, you do not have to install and remove our hood when the need arises. The BST Protective Hood is rigid, sturdy and permanently installed with the included full hood end caps so it can be left on year round protecting your investment from inclement weather. With the optional Protective Hood you do not have to remove your awning in the winter months. Your awning components, fabric and mechanism are protected from wind, sleet, ice and snow when the awning is closed under the hood.
